Bear Man

Known to his mother and his banker as Randall, the rest of the world knows him as The Bear Man (close friends call him Bear.) The Bear Man has been an S/M player and a top since his first husband forced him to tie him up out in the barn 30 years ago.  Trained by bottoms ever since, Bear Man put his training to use in 1996 as a founder and chair of Ft. Lauderdale’s Leather University Dungeon Series from 1996-1998. More information about Leather University can be found at leatheru.com

The Bear Man is currently the Managing Partner of DBL Products, Inc., which operates two Leather shops in Florida - Dungeon Bear Leather and LeatherWerks.  The Company leaves Florida several times a year to take the store on the road to events like Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend, IML, and the Delta Run.  

The Bear Man is very dedicated to the success of the company (read “a workaholic”).  What little time he spends away from work is spent with his husband of five years Lorenzo a/k/a Pup. 

In addition to his duties managing the business, the Bear Man is a member of the Board of Leather University, and of the Board of Directors of the Leather Archives and Museum, located in Chicago and serving the world.

Eric is a long time resident of Fort Lauderdale and is the co-owner and president of LeatherWerks, one of the premier leather stores in the country, located in Fort Lauderdale and Charlotte, NC.

He is a long time activist for the gay community, more recently focusing on the Leather community in South Florida. Among his many talents and titles are: Founding member and President Emeritus of NLA, Ft Lauderdale; founding member and current Board member of Leather University (Dungeon and Men's Academy series); director of Living In Leather XIV; South Florida Drummer Daddy, 1995; past president of FFA Florida Gold Coast; Chaired the Black Heart Ball 2000; past member of M.A.F.I.A.

Eric, a sincere enthusiast of the art of fisting, rightfully deserves the title given to him “Sir Bottom."  He filled in as a fisting instructor at the 2003 Dungeon 801.

He is also known as a hard taskmaster in his capacity as past LIL facilitator (in Dallas and Portland), his emphasis is homework, and practice, practice, practice!

Eric also taugh a fisting seminar at MLT Mr. Leather Toronto) 2003.

Eric lives in his tropical home in Fort Lauderdale

Lawrence has been with the company since it started over ten years ago. Working in production he handles most of the product we sell.

Todd
Designer, Assistant Manager

Todd joined LeatherWerks over three years ago from New York City, bringing with him over 20 years of design experience in men's wear.  He has also worked in several other fields from graphics and display to interior design.

His philosophy it to bring the ancient art of leather crafting into new and modern applications.  He is currently practices tooling, boiling and garment inlay techniques and focuses on transforming these techniques from traditional western and medieval applications to current interpretations for a modern leather/biker lifestyle.
