Bear Man

Known to his mother and his banker as Randall, the rest of the world knows this accomplished S/M player as The Bear Man (close friends call him Bear). He has been a top for over 30 years, since his first husband made the Bear Man tie him up out in the barn. Trained by bottoms ever since, Bear Man put his education to use as a founder and chair of Fort Lauderdale's Leather University Dungeon Series from 1996-1998.
The Bear Man is currently a Manager of The Werks Company, which owns two LeatherWerks retail stores in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and several websites serving the needs of the Leather/Fetish/BDSM communities, including BootWerks.com, PaddleWerks.com, and LeatherWerks.com. He also takes the store on the road a few times a year, bringing LeatherWerks™ PaddleWerks® and BootWerks® to events such as Black Rose, Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend and International Mr. Leather.
The Bear Man is very dedicated to the success of the business (read: "workaholic"). However, in February of 2007, The Bear took a much-needed, often postponed, once-in-a-lifetime vacation to Rome, Italy. Daddy meets boy in Rome. You can guess the rest of the story. Tens of thousands of frequent flyer miles later, the boy is now The Bear Man’s boy steve.
The Bear Man does not limit his community activity to the Leather Community. In addition to his Leather community membership in Delta International and the Leather Archives & Museum, The Bear Man is also a community activist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A member of the Board of the Leather Archives and Museum since May of 2000, the Bear Man is currently Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee.

President

Eric
is a long time resident of Fort Lauderdale and is the co-owner and
president of LeatherWerks, one of the premier leather stores in
the country, located in Fort Lauderdale and Charlotte, NC.
He
is a long time activist for the gay community, more recently
focusing on the Leather community in South Florida. Among his
many talents and titles are: Founding member and President
Emeritus of NLA, Fort Lauderdale; founding member and current
Board member of Leather
University (Dungeon and Men's Academy series); director of Living In Leather XIV;
South Florida Drummer Daddy, 1995; past president of FFA Florida
Gold Coast; Chaired the Black Heart Ball 2000; past member of M.A.F.I.A.
Eric,
a sincere enthusiast of the art of fisting, rightfully deserves
the title given to him “Sir Bottom." He filled in
as a fisting instructor at the 2003 Dungeon 801.
He
is also known as a hard taskmaster in his capacity as past LIL
facilitator (in Dallas and Portland), his emphasis is
homework, and practice, practice, practice!

Todd
Designer, Assistant Manager

Todd joined LeatherWerks over three years ago from New York City, bringing with him over 20 years of design experience in men's wear. He has also worked in several other fields from graphics and display to interior design.
His philosophy is to bring the ancient art of leather crafting into new and modern applications. He is currently practices tooling, boiling, and garment inlay techniques and focuses on transforming these techniques from traditional western and medieval applications to current interpretations for a modern leather/biker lifestyle.
