Florida and Ft Lauderdale were once again recognized as a one of the most vital Leather Communities in North America at the 2011 Pantheon of Leather Awards on Friday August 5^th.  The Pantheon of Leather Awards are sponsored by The Leather Journal and are awarded annually to the people, clubs, and businesses that are making the largest contribution to the health vitality and growth of the Leather Community in the United States.

This year LeatherWerks won Leather Business of the Year (for the second time in three years) and The South Florida boys of Leather won Small Club of the year.  LeatherWerks' good friend bootblack redwarrior from Jacksonville won 2011 Leather Woman of the Year.

2010 South Florida winners of Pantheon of Leather Awards include the Leather Masked Ball, Sir Top and slave bonnie, Master John Weal and Miss Rae.  Other Recent winners include LeatherWerks and Bill Hoeppner in 2009 and Eric Lawrence, co-founder of LeatherWerks, in 2008.

In addition to all of the nationwide winners listed above, Florida’s Leather Community is so active and so dynamic that it has the distinction of being the only state in the United States to have an annual State Regional Award  (OK, California has two regional awards so it is not a state regional award).

Fort Lauderdale has the greatest Leather Community in the United States.  On behalf of myself and the entire LeatherWerks family I’m honored by your continuing support and proud to be a part of this tremendous community.
